Malawi Update – Happy Martyrs Day – 3 March, 2022

Martyr’s day honours the political heroes who gave their lives in the struggle against British colonialism; some Malawians have been left stranded in Ukraine because of the ongoing conflict with Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement advising all Malawian nationals who are currently in Ukraine to call for consular assistance, the Reserve Bank of Malawi released into circulation a 5,000 Kwacha banknote, the Task Force has changed the administration of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, President Chakwera appealed for humanitarian aid for flood survivors, and much more!
