Malawi Update - 15th of July, 2021

Despite a ban that prohibits spectators from watching the Olympics live at the Tokyo venue, 12 officials will escort Malawi’s five Olympic competitors. Discussions continue regarding labour relations with human rights’ campaigns calling for the President to veto the Labor Relations Act. In other news, the Tonse Alliance defends its recent appointments of family members to international posts, refuting any accusations of nepotism. Elsewhere, University of Malawi students staged protests, demanding the end of online schooling, citing exorbitant data packages.
